Dental crowns, made in a lab

Dental crowns are a restorative treatment used to save, strengthen and improve teeth. Treatment usually requires two visits at Dental Studio.

When is a dental crown needed?

Dental crowns are a restorative dental treatment that can be used for a multitude of reasons. Dental crown treatment will usually require two visits to assess the health of your teeth, take impressions and fit your new crown.

During an initial consultation we will perform an examination of your teeth and mouth. This is done using dental x-rays and allows us to decide if a dental crown is the most suitable treatment option and whether root canal treatment is required.

What to expect

  1. 01

    Preparation

We prepare the surface and chewing areas of the tooth and make a mould of the tooth and the teeth around it.

  2. 02

    Temporary crown

A temporary crown protects the tooth while you wait for the permanent crown, which is created in a dental lab in the colour, shape and shade you choose.

  3. 03

    Fitting

We check that you are happy with the appearance and fit of your new crown before fixing it in place using dental cement.

How long does a crown last?

You must treat your crown as if it were a natural tooth which means brushing, flossing and using mouthwash. If you do take good care of your crown you can expect it to last between 5 to 15 years, if not longer.

Common questions

A crown starts from £975, porcelain crowns (Procera, zirconia, Lava) from £975 and a same day crown from £850 (Dental Studio Price List 2024).
